In England....
When we left South Africa, we went to live in the South West near Bristol. A quaint Victorian Seaside Town called Clevedon which overlooked the Severn Estuary. I worked on a quarry just outside Bristol near a town called Long Ashton. I also commuted to Wales for a while to Gelligaer up in the valleys. The resort of Clevedon in Avon on the the Bristol Channel Coast was once a hillside settlement. Clevedon gives the residents of nearby Bristol a Victorian seaside resort to unwind in. Clevedon has many fine examples of Victorian architecture including the pier which opened in 1869. Clevedon is also home to the famous windswept tree. We lived at: Moor Park, Clevedon.
